There's no Wash&Go inside Stuttgart-Süd, but Wash&Go Stuttgart-Mitte is right next door: from Marienplatz take the U1 or U14 one stop to Österreichischer Platz, about 10 minutes in total, or walk roughly 1.2 km. Stuttgart-West is about 14 minutes away. Both open Mon–Sat 6 am to 11 pm.

To be clear: the Wilhelmstraße laundromat is in Stuttgart-Mitte, close to the border with the south. One Stadtbahn stop from Marienplatz plus a 9-minute walk, and you're there. If you'd rather walk the whole way, it's about 1.2 km. Bus 43 is another option: it stops at Wilhelm-/Olgastraße, about 80 metres from the door.
From the south-western part of the district, Stuttgart-West can be just as handy. Bus 42 runs from Erwin-Schoettle-Platz to the Schwabstraße stop in 4 minutes, leaving you a 5-minute walk.
Gablenberg isn't around the corner from the south, but it has the same prices and the same hours until 11 pm. By car it's about as far as West.
Not every old apartment has room for a washer and a dryer. At the laundromat an 8 kg load costs €5.00 and drying €1.50 per 10 minutes. Duvets and pillows go into the 18 kg XXL machine for €13.50.
