The four laundromats at a glance
Stuttgart-Mitte, Wilhelmstraße 11
The most central one, close to the border with Stuttgart-Süd. Bus stop Wilhelm-/Olgastraße (line 43) is about 80 metres away, the Stadtbahn stops Österreichischer Platz and Rathaus 300 to 400 metres. Open until 11 pm.
Stuttgart-West, Schwabstraße 73
Right by the Bismarckplatz bus stop (line 42). Schwabstraße S-Bahn station and the Schwab-/Bebelstraße Stadtbahn stop are both just over 250 metres away. Since all lines from S1 to S6 stop at Schwabstraße, this is the commuters' choice. Open until 11 pm.
Stuttgart-Ost, Gablenberger Hauptstraße 37
In the heart of Gablenberg, about 80 metres from the Libanonstraße stop (buses 42 and 45). From Ostendplatz on the U4, bus 45 gets you to the door in 3 minutes. Open until 11 pm.
Bad Cannstatt, Wildunger Straße 66
About 250 metres from the Uff-Kirchhof Stadtbahn stop (U1 and U13). From Nürnberger Straße S-Bahn it's roughly a 14-minute walk, from Bad Cannstatt station about 15. The go-to laundromat for the north-east of the city, Fellbach and the Neckar valley. Open until 10 pm.
Is any laundromat in Stuttgart open on Sundays?
Not at Wash&Go. All four are closed on Sundays and public holidays, as required by Baden-Württemberg's Sunday trading law. Saturday is a normal day, from 6 am.
How much does a laundromat cost in Stuttgart?
Same prices at all four: 8 kg washer €5.00, 18 kg XXL washer €13.50, dryer €1.50 per 10 minutes. A regular load with 30 minutes of drying comes to €9.50. With the discount card, valid at all 7 Wash&Go laundromats, a wash costs €3.80 instead of €5.00. Examples and top-up levels: Prices.
You pay at the pay station by cash, card or contactless. Bring your own detergent if you like. There's free Wi-Fi, and you don't have to stay while the machine runs.
