Weststadt-Mitte: change once, or stay seated

During the day the S1 and S11 together leave Ettlingen Stadt about every 10 minutes. After 14 minutes you reach Albtalbahnhof, switch to tram 6 to Arbeitsagentur and walk around 11 minutes to Sophienstraße. Hate changing trains with a heavy bag? Stay on the S1 to Mühlburger Tor and walk about 10 minutes. It takes a bit longer, around 38 minutes, but it's the comfortable way.

Oststadt: one change at the main station

For the Oststadt, change at Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof to the S4, S7 or S8 and ride to Gottesauer Platz/BGV, just under 400 metres from Ludwig-Wilhelm-Straße. At 36 minutes it's barely longer than the trip to the Weststadt.

By car both laundromats are a little over 10 minutes from central Ettlingen without traffic, so choose the one that fits your errands in Karlsruhe. If you're bringing duvets or pillows, the 18 kg XXL machine handles them for €13.50 per load.
